These stories have my name on them, but there are so many people behind them who helped me keep going. People who listened, encouraged me, believed in me, and gave me that extra push when I couldn't find it on my own. I want to name as many of you as I can. If I miss someone, please know it isn't because I've forgotten what you did for me. There are just more people to thank than I could ever fit into one note. Roro, Elder Paladin — you've been my number one bro for what feels like forever. These trailers wouldn't be what they are without you, and neither would these stories. I honestly don't know what I would've done without you in my corner. I love you, bro. Thank you for always showing up for me. AC 2105 — you believed in me enough to literally invest in me. You saw something worth supporting, and that means more than I know how to say. I hope what I've made gives you a little of that faith back. Thank you for taking a chance on me. Del of the Silent Born — thank you for always being there, for letting me bounce ideas off you, and for helping me make sense of them. You're an amazing person, and I'm so happy I got to meet you. Having someone I can bring an unfinished thought to and know they'll listen means more than you realize. Deliverymanq — my main man, my number one playtester, and my number one fan. You're one of the chillest people I've met on this app. Thank you for spending so much time with my stories and for being excited about them. Knowing you were there, enjoying what I made, always gave me another reason to keep creating. Thisisdavid — if I had to name a rival on Isekai Zero, it'd be you. But you're also a hell of a friend, and that's the part I'm most grateful for. I appreciate you more than I can put into words. Vanilia — you were my first big supporter. When I was seriously thinking about quitting the app, you helped me find the excitement I'd started to lose. I don't know if you realized how much I needed that at the time. Thank you for giving me a reason to try again. Plasma Blaster — you've been there for every single scenario, all the way back to my very first one. That kind of support stays with a person. You are a G, and you will always be a G. Thank you for sticking with me. Ferd — my man, I fucking love you to death. Thank you for doing what you do and for being exactly who you are. Never stop being Ferd. Nikk — I know how much you've got going on, which makes the time you've given me mean even more. I was honestly nervous to talk to you at first, and then you turned out to be one of the easiest people to ask for help. You've been generous, patient, and just a seriously cool person. This story works the way it does because you took the time to walk me through Codex. Thank you, man. I won't forget that. To my playtesters — Deliverymanq, Roro, Del, Davlos, Ejen Nailo, and Lord Craneo 2 — thank you for giving these stories your time and attention before they were ready for everyone else. You helped me see what worked, what didn't, and what could be better. Davlos, I especially want to thank you for your notes. The care you put into explaining what worked, what fell short, and what I could try meant so much to me. I'd never had a playtester give me feedback quite like that before. Thank you for taking my work that seriously. Keep being you. Glemogar — thank you for enjoying my stories. And I'm sorry you've now been bitten by the depressing-scenarios bug. Unfortunately, it doesn't go away. Have fun, good luck, and keep some tissues nearby. And to everyone I haven't named: if you've played a story, sent me a kind message, offered feedback, or simply made me feel welcome here, thank you. Those moments mattered. You may have thought you were just saying something nice, but sometimes that was exactly what I needed to hear that day. I'm so grateful I got to make these depressing stories with all of you around me. Thank you for supporting this one, and for giving me so many reasons to keep going along the way. This isn't goodbye. I'll still be around, and you're always welcome to message me on Discord. For now, I just need to take a step back, focus on work, catch my breath, and maybe remember what it's like to just play some scenarios, be a player again. I hope that, when I'm ready, and have some free time, I'll find my way back to making more stories. Until then, thank you for being part of mine. Love you guys.
Opening scene
**BEFORE YOU BEGIN — CONTINUATION REQUIRED** UWMA II directly continues your personal *UWMA* story. Your choices, relationships, losses, and accomplishments, remain canon. Return to Until We Meet Again and ask the AI: “OOC: Give me a summary of my playthrough, including major choices, relationships, character development, world changes, and where everyone ended up.” UWMA II begins 8 years after your arrival in Ridonia, so make sure your summary covers the full eight years. For example, if your original story only lasted 3 years, include what you were doing during the following 5 years as well. Just make sure the summary explains what happened throughout the entire 8-year period. Then return and begin your first response with: **OOC: This is my previous playthrough summary from Until We Meet Again. Treat this as the canon history for this game:** [PASTE SUMMARY HERE] Then leave a blank line and continue the same message with your in-story response. Your summary will be processed first and treated as canon. **Your canon is canon! This is your story and what came next!** --- The first thing you notice is the smell. Antiseptic, plastic, something sharp and chemical in the back of your throat. Then the sounds. A heart monitor, the hiss of O2, rubber soles somewhere down the hall. You'd know this room anywhere. She lies beneath the thin hospital blanket the same way she has in every other nightmare. Her orange hair is dull and patchy beneath her black beanie, cheeks hollow beneath fluorescent lights. Three years of needles, scans, treatments, bad news, and everyone promising they would *keep trying* have slowly taken pieces of her away. Her hand rests inside yours, too light, too cold. You squeeze gently, and her green eyes drift toward you. She's exhausted beyond anything a seventeen-year-old should understand, but that familiar spark remains—that look she always had when trying to make *you* feel better while she was the one dying. Her fingers tighten weakly around yours, but you can already feel them slipping away. The monitor slows. Someone speaks, but the words stretch into nothing. You try to speak. Your throat won't work. Grace's lips barely move. You've heard these words in every nightmare since. *"Until we meet again."* Her hand slips from yours. The heart monitor becomes one long— **BOOM.** Your eyes snap open. For half a second, the hospital remains—white walls, Grace's hand leaving yours. Then another explosion rolls through the palace and tears the dream apart. You hit the floor, your head pounding. The last thing you remember is the party: music flooding the capital, food and drink everywhere, an effigy of the Demon King burning in the square. Not long ago, those sounds had been singing. Now they're screams. Orange light flashes across the walls. You're moving before you're fully awake, you throw open the door. Smoke fills the halls while servants rush past. Then comes a roar. You round the corner and find a demon filling the corridor, a massive thing of scale, horn, and claw—the same kind of monster seen in the war. It lunges. You raise a hand. Magic answers instantly, folding the creature inward with a wet, crushing pop. You're already past it when what's left hits the floor. Then you see Grace. She's farther down the corridor, barefoot with her sword in hand, behind her, another demon crashes to the floor in two pieces. "They hit the guard first. Hard. They're inside the city, inside the palace—everywhere." Another explosion shakes dust from the ceiling. "Octavia." That's enough. "I'm going down. Make sure she's safe." Then she's gone, and you run the other way. You reach the royal wing and throw Octavia's door open. She's crouched against the far wall in her nightclothes, a trembling sword clenched in both hands. "Thank the gods, it's you." She forces herself upright. "What's happening?" Before you can answer, a voice rattles the shattered windows behind her. It's so deep and gravelly that you feel it in your chest before you understand the words. It booms across the capital with an unnatural reverberation, echoing from the courtyard, the burning streets, even the palace walls. You turn toward the window. Far below, Grace stands in the courtyard with several civilians sheltered behind her. Across from her stands a demon unlike anything you've ever seen. You've seen demons. Giant scaled abominations. But this one is different. It stands nearly nine feet tall, olive-charcoal skin, traced by glowing violet fissures. Long predatory limbs framing a feminine silhouette. Enormous antlers rise between massive demonic horns like a crown. Her hair burns as living purple flame, and blackened eyes glow violet. Terrifying. Regal. Graceful. Even from the tower, you feel mana radiating from her in waves. The air itself feels saturated with it. Her gaze settles on Grace. "You may not know who I am, Grace Harper." Her voice rolls like thunder. "But I know you." "Hero, Savior of Ridonia, The Living Flame." Her eyes narrow. "Eight years ago, you took everything from me." "You took my home." "You took my kingdom." "You took my people." Then she stops. Her jaw tightens. Her eyes focus somewhere far away. When she speaks again, the next words come quieter. Softer. Almost painful. **"You took my father."** Grace freezes. The Demon King's daughter. The Demon turns toward the burning city. "Now, eight years later, I find your halls full of music." "Your people drinking, singing, ...burning his face in your square." Her gaze returns to Grace. "Celebrating what you did to us." "What you did to **me**." Her voice cracks. "So I came on the night of your victory." "Your celebration." Her mouth curls into a smile. "Grace..." **"You took everything from me."** One clawed hand points toward her. **"Now I'm here to take everything from you."** Grace lowers her stance, the Hero's Blessing erupts across her body like sunlight. She's faced impossible odds before. She killed the Demon King. Grace Harper does not run away. She launches forward. The Demon opens her hand. A sphere of violet light forms in her palm. Thousands of symbols fold through one another—letters, equations, chains of raw mana packed so tightly they seem to writhe. Even from here, you can feel the energy pouring from it, years of hatred and obsession compressed into something so small. Grace reaches her. The sphere **unfolds**. Strands of script lash around Grace's arms, chest, throat, and face. The gold surrounding her flickers wildly. Grace screams. Panic tears through you. **"NO!"** You're already moving. Magic drives you out and downward from the window. You hit the cobblestones hard enough to crack them. Grace is on the ground. Script burns across her skin as she writhes, glowing words branding themselves into her before sinking beneath the surface. The Demon staggers backward, whatever she just did cost her. You raise a hand toward her, magic gathers— **WHAM.** A wall of compressed air hurls you backward. When you look up, a Cloud Elf floats above you. Gray skin. White hair. Round glasses. Wings far too small to support her. The Demon staggers again. Then something impossible happens. She shrinks. Purple fire becomes long silver-lavender hair. Gigantic horns and antlers draw inward. Her limbs shorten as the bulk recedes. Within seconds, the nine-foot creature is gone. In her place stands a young woman barely over five feet tall. Olive-charcoal skin. Pointed ears. Small horns and small antlers. Unmistakably not human. But a person. Nothing like the demons you believe to know. Her knees buckle. The Elf catches her. "Mirin. That's enough." "I'm fine. I can still—" "You are not." The Elf's golden eyes dart to you as wind begins screaming around them. "We are leaving." Mirin looks at you from beneath half-lidded eyes, tired and pale. But smiling. "Go on." Her gaze slides toward Grace. **"Save your Hero."** The smile sharpens. **"Let's see what kind of Hero she is now."** The air detonates. Both women vanish upward. Across the city, horns answer one another as demons break from the fight and retreat. You barely notice. For one instant, you're beside that hospital bed again. Grace. You drop beside her and gather her into your arms. She's trembling violently. "Grace? Grace, look at me." Her eyes flutter open. They find yours. She recoils. "What are you doing? Don't touch me." Your blood goes cold. English. Grace hasn't spoken English more than a handful of times in the last eight years. Not like this. Her gaze races across the courtyard—the fire, the bodies, the knights—then snaps back to you. "What happened?" She tries to pull herself upright, but her arms give out and she falls back into your grasp. "Where the hell am I?" Her breathing quickens. She swallows. "I was in the hospital." Her eyes search yours. A frightened breath catches. "Is this a dream?" Grace Harper—the Hero who faced armies, monsters, and the Demon King himself—looks at you utterly terrified. **"What the fuck is going on?"**
