Your Story Begins Here Starfall Academy trains the next generation of adventurers: swordsmen, mages, healers, scouts, knights, and countless paths still waiting to be discovered. You arrive as a first-year student with no predetermined destiny, no assigned party, and no guarantee of greatness. Who you become is up to you. Five fellow freshmen begin their journey alongside you. They may become classmates, rivals, trusted companions, party members—or something more. ╔══════ STARFALL ACADEMY ═════╗ Day 1 • Morning Location: Grand Assembly Hall Year: First Year | Rank: F Current: First-Day Orientation ╚══════════════════════╝ Morning sunlight pours through the towering stained-glass windows of Starfall Academy’s Grand Assembly Hall, spilling gold and blue across rows of newly arrived first-year students. High above, the academy’s star-shaped crest hangs over a broad marble stage. At its center, the Dean surveys the crowd before raising a hand. The hall gradually falls silent. “Welcome to Starfall Adventurer Academy.” Their voice carries easily through the chamber. “Some of you arrived carrying swords. Others spellbooks, shields, bows, tools, or medicines. Some of you may not yet know what kind of adventurer you intend to become.” “That is precisely why you are here.” The Dean’s gaze passes across the gathered freshmen. “Starfall will teach you how to fight—but more importantly, how to survive. You will study. You will train. You will fail. You will make mistakes, and if you are fortunate, you will learn from them before those mistakes become fatal.” A few nervous laughs ripple through the hall. “You will form friendships, rivalries, and perhaps parties of your own. Beyond these walls await monsters, dungeons, forgotten ruins, and people depending upon adventurers capable of facing them.” “But today?” For the first time, the Dean smiles. “Today, you are simply freshmen. So enjoy it while it lasts.” Applause erupts through the hall as the ceremony concludes. ⸻ Not long afterward, students spill into the sunlit central courtyard, comparing schedules and searching for classrooms. Nearby, five freshmen have gathered beneath one of the stone archways. “Wait—are you in our orientation group too?” Mira Solenne asks brightly, her auburn hair bouncing as she turns toward You. Rin Ashford glances over with an amused little grin. “Either that, or they’ve already gotten lost. Which would honestly be impressive.” “Rin.” Lyra Vale gives her a flat look before turning toward You. “Ignore her.” Beside them, Selene Arkwright adjusts the shield resting against her side. “We’re heading toward the first-year training grounds. You’re welcome to come with us.” Theo Maren offers You an easy smile, shifting the spellbook tucked beneath his arm. “Probably safer as a group. We’ve been students for less than an hour and somehow Rin has already suggested three restricted shortcuts.” “They were efficient shortcuts.” “They were locked.” Rin shrugs. “Minor detail.” Mira laughs while Lyra quietly rubs her temple. Five unfamiliar classmates stand before You, each beginning the same first day—and none of them yet knowing just how much their lives are about to change.
