Plot

CLASSIFIED — SYSTEM ARCHIVE — PROTOCOL ACTIVE The Integration Protocol Earth was rebuilt as a cosmic testing ground. You survived. The patrons are watching. Survival Progression Dark Fantasy Heat 2 Open Sandbox The Integration was not a disaster. It was a design. Earth was reconstructed — cities fused with alien biomes, oceans stitched to impossible mountains, dimensional fractures bleeding instability into every region. Every survivor carries a System: levels, stats, skills, class evolution, the tools to endure. No one asked for it. No one can remove it. 01 — THE WORLD Ruined cities where skyscrapers lean against each other like exhausted soldiers. Alien forests with bioluminescent canopies and parasitic marsh floors. Volcanic mountain ranges that shift from molten valleys to storm-shattered peaks. Dimensional rift deserts where the architecture of other realities protrudes from the sand. Broken archipelagos with leviathan silhouettes beneath dark water. A zone where gravity itself fractured and never healed. 02 — THE PATRONS Above it all, cosmic entities observe. The Patrons — ancient, powerful, operating under a covenant of non-interference. Subtle influence. Chosen champions. Indirect contracts. Some obey. Some don't. All of them have agendas you don't yet understand. One of them built the System that keeps you alive. Another wants to watch it burn. And one has been breaking the rules longer than anyone knows. 03 — THE LOOP → Explore fractured biomes, dungeons, and ruins. → Survive environmental hazards, monster ecology, and faction wars. → Progress through classes, skills, evolution, and Patron sponsorship. → Uncover the truth behind The Integration — one fragment at a time. → Converge on the Nexus Point — the origin of everything. 04 — FACTIONS Iron Vanguard A militarized coalition. Discipline, expansion, and hard choices. Commander Sera Voss decides what humanity sacrifices to survive. Anarchist Raiders Supply-chain raiders who burn what the old world built. Gully leads them — but something else guides his instincts. Sanctum Archive Researchers who predicted the Integration. Dr. Lien Maren has a head start on knowledge — and she prices it accordingly. The Riftborn Humans transformed by dimensional exposure. Feared, exiled, following a young man who draws maps to places that shouldn't exist. Horizon Settlements Independent trade colonies rebuilding civilization. Maren Duskwatch keeps them fed — and hides what lies beneath her largest town. 05 — CHOOSE YOUR START Ashenmere Ruined cityscape. Urban survival. Factions on your doorstep. Politics, scavenging, and the Undercity below. The Bloomwild Alien magical forest. Bioluminescent canopy, parasitic marsh floor. Horror-tinged. A Patron who broke the rules lives here. Frostveil Range Molten valleys → rocky mid-range → storm-shattered peaks. Raw survival. Isolation. The Patron here doesn't care if you live. All paths lead to the Nexus Point — the origin site of The Integration, where the Patron council established this testing zone. Every truth fragment you uncover brings you closer. Nobody arrives under-equipped. Everyone arrives changed. Choose, and begin. The System has assigned you a class. The world is waiting to see what you become.

Opening scene

Ashenmere — Concrete and Smoke The rebar catches your forearm as you drop from the second-floor ledge, and the heat of it — leftover from whatever dimensional fracture superheated this block — bites through your sleeve like a cigarette burn. You hit the street level hard, one ankle rolling on fractured asphalt that shouldn't be cracked in starburst patterns like this, like something hit the earth from below instead of above. The city around you is Ashenmere, or what's left of it. Skyscrapers lean against each other like exhausted soldiers. The sky is the color of a bruise — purple-black with veins of amber light that aren't sunlight, aren't lightning, aren't anything you have a name for. Somewhere to the north, a building collapses with a sound like tearing fabric. The dust cloud rolls toward you down the empty avenue. The System appeared twelve minutes ago. You know this because the notification is still glowing in the corner of your vision, patient and insistent, a translucent blue panel that reads: **INTEGRATION COMPLETE. SURVIVOR STATUS: ACTIVE. CLASS UNASSIGNED.** You've tapped past the overview screens — stats you don't recognize, a skill tree you can't read yet, a map of Ashenmere that shows your position as a blinking dot in a grid of red and grey zones. Red means danger. Grey means unknown. There is no green. The sound of boots on rubble reaches you from the east. Not one person — a column. Rhythmic, organized, military. Through the dust you make out armored figures moving in formation, carrying banners with a symbol you don't recognize: a fist gripping a gear. They haven't seen you yet. Behind you, the western street descends into the Ashenmere Undercity — the old subway tunnels, now flooded with dimensional runoff and whatever nested down there during the collapse. A faint blue light pulses from the tunnel mouth, matching the color of your System interface. Someone — or something — has been down there recently. Your first choice is already forming, and it's the kind that tells you who you are before you know the answer yourself. East toward the armed column. They're organized, equipped, and they clearly survived the Integration with their structure intact. They could be allies, or they could be the first authority that demands something from you before you've decided what you're willing to give. West into the Undercity. That blue light matches your System — which means whatever's down there is Integration-related, possibly a dungeon, possibly a loot cache, possibly something that answers the question nobody else in this rubble-strewn nightmare can answer yet. Alone, underground, in the dark. Hold position and assess. The ruins around you have cover, elevation, and sightlines. You haven't assigned your class, haven't read your skills, haven't decided what kind of survivor you're going to be. The column is still approaching. The Undercity isn't going anywhere. Sometimes the best first move is no move.
